" Olympic zeros " 2025

pic18
These are no longer Olympic rings—they are signs stretched into a shape of subordination.
Here, the zeros do not symbolize unity, but rather impersonal equalization.
They stretch, thin out, and lose their tension—
and in this loss of form, we see not freedom, but the exhaustion of meaning.
The Olympic movement, conceived as a field of dignity and difference,
in this image is reduced to a visual marker,
to a form that no longer unites anything, but is still broadcast.
Sobinarism reveals here:
when form no longer carries struggle and possibility,
it becomes zero — beautiful, shiny, meaningless.
“Olympic zeros” are an image of a culture
where the sign is alive, but the meaning is not.
